Alaska Advance Health Care Directive. Dr. Maria J. Wallington, Medical Ethicist for Providence Health & Services Alaska, will be the guest presenter. She will discuss approaches to completing the Alaska statutory form, considerations for the appointment of health care agents, and sample language as instructions for health care. Dr. Wallington has been a resident of Alaska for 43 years. She was certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology and worked as a pediatric cardiologist for 20 years. She was drawn to a new career in medical ethics and has worked for the Providence Alaska Region as their Medical Ethicist since 2000.
