Project for the Alaska Network on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. Appeal to Supreme Court of a family law matter. Trial Judge was Judge Smith. Points on Appeal include whether the trial court erred in failing to set on an evidentiary hearing when there was a substantial change of circumstances and whether the trial court erred in failing to impute income to the opposing party. The client has filed the appeal, including Points on Appeal and Designation of the Record, and the opening brief is due in January 2015.

Project for ALSC. Client is pursuing an appeal of the denial of Supplemental Security Income. The appeal is currently in the federal district court. Client has been attempting to represent himself in this appeal, but it is extremely difficult, especially at this stage. He would greatly benefit from an advocate to assist him with completing the federal district court appeal. Please note the client failed to file his opening brief and it appears to have been due on or about November 8th. ALSC has spoken with him and he is going to request an additional 60 days to file his brief. Contact Laura Goss, ALSC, at 222-4521 or email@example.com.
