The Administrative Law section meets quarterly. The section’s next meeting will be Monday, June 4, 2012, at 12 noon at the Bar office. The June meeting will be the last section meeting until the fall.
Both Sides Now. Pat Galvin of Great Bear Petroleum, and Jon Iversen of Stoel Rives are the guest speakers. They will share their unique insights from both sides of state agencies, as form agency leaders and as attorneys in private practice. 1 General CLE Credit.
Juneau Members: You can attend section meetings at the Department of Law in the Dimond Courthouse (123 Fourth Street), 5th floor conference room. Because the 5th floor is secure, access the meeting by going first to the department’s reception area on the 6th floor, opposite the main elevators. The Business Law section now meets the third Tuesday of even-numbered months. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at 12 noon at Lane Powell, 301 W. Northern Lights, #301.

The Immigration Law section’s meeting scheduled for Thursday, June 7, 2012, at 12 noon at the Department of Homeland Security offices in Anchorage, 620 E. 10th Avenue was CANCELED.

Intellectual Property Law
The Intellectual Property Law section meets quarterly. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 12 noon at Davis Wright Tremaine, 701 W. 8th Avenue, Suite 800 (Conoco Phillips building).
Trademark Applications for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The speaker will be Paul Gast, former Examining Attorney from the Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Gast handled trademark applications for the USPTO. 1 General CLE Credit.
