This program is designed to familiarize real estate and family law attorneys with the areas of their practices which often overlap, and to acquaint family mediators with real property issues and problem areas in mediating a property settlement agreement. The goal is to provide issue spotting skills to both real estate and family law practitioners. Learn how to recognize and avoid real property problems in divorce settlements. Discover possible remedies for property settlements already in effect. This program will help you focus on the critical issues at the beginning and end of the property settlement process. Sample forms, such as zero balance deeds of trust, foreclosure, and marine and maritime liens, are included in the materials. The basic overview will be of interest to practitioners with limited experience. The more focused portions of the program are geared toward practitioners with more extensive experience.
