United Youth Courts of Alaska
Alaskan
communities who tackle crime proactively, turn to UYCA for training,
resources and support. The need for a centralized source of youth court
expertise emerged in 1998 and the organization has worked with justice
professionals and communities to improve existing youth courts through
technical assistance, increase communication between all Alaskan youth
courts and form new youth courts upon invitation by Alaskan communities.
We proudly support over 1,000 youth volunteers inAlaskaand youth provide
high-level organizational guidance for UYCA by filling half the seats
and serving as executive officers on the Board of Directors.
