After her retirement from the U.S. Supreme Court, Justice Sandra Day O’Connor founded iCivics, an online civic education program to help reverse Americans’declining civic knowledge and participation. She believes that securing ourdemocracy requires teaching the next generation to understand and respect our system of governance.
