Health Law section members are invited. Medical and Legal Issues Regarding the Constitutional Rights to Human Tissues. This will be a discussion of the medical and legal issues arising from Erik Woelber’s paper on “Constitutional Rights to Human Tissues” as well as a recent decision by the California Courts. Mr. Woelber is completing his Masters in Interdisciplinary Studies at UAA and this paper was written for a recent Constitutional Law course. Mr. Woelber graduated with a degree in History of Science/Medicine from Yale, where he was Executive Editor of the Yale Herald. He has done medical research at Yale and the Rothman Institute in Philadelphia and was formerly a Medical Editor at a communications company in Philadelphia, PA. He currently works for the RAM Group, an interdisciplinary lab at UAA.
