Resigned Status
If it is doubtful you will ever return to the practice of law in Alaska, you may resign from membership in the Association.
Resignation has one serious drawback: once you have resigned you cannot simply be reinstated should you, for some reason, decide to return to the practice of law in Alaska. Instead you must seek readmission as any other applicant, including taking the bar exam.
