Description:
On December 1, 2009, sweeping changes to the times for performance under the Federal Rules of Practice Procedure and the calculation of times under the rules and statutes, both national and local, will go into effect. These changes affect the times for filing and serving documents in the federal court, as well as when certain events must occur. This CLE will cover those changes, as well as recent substantive changes to the rules. The panel will also cover some of the common procedural mistakes made, and pitfalls when practitioners do not follow the rules.
